Thurston to the Washburne district.
Springfield has everything from early-1900s houses in the Washburne Historic District to the 1970s–90s neighborhoods of Thurston and the Gateway area and newer homes toward Jasper. A lot of those kitchens still have their original oak, and they're the most common cabinet-painting jobs we see.
A big share of the homes in Thurston, Hayden Bridge and the Gateway area were built when honey oak and dark stained cabinets were standard. The cabinets are well built and the layouts work, but the color dates the kitchen. Painting is the fastest way to update it without touching the countertops or floors.
Around the Washburne Historic District and older Springfield, the job is more often refinishing solid-wood cabinets or repainting cabinets that have been brushed over a few times. We strip back to a clean surface so the new finish lasts.
Outside, Springfield's tree cover and rain mean a lot of mossy, peeling north walls. We prep those properly before painting so the new coat doesn't fail the same way.
Built for Springfield
Replacing cabinets usually means new countertops, new flooring edges and weeks without a kitchen. If the layout already works, painting or refacing gets most of the visual change for a small share of the cost and disruption.
Color choice matters more than most people expect. Warm whites, soft greiges and muted greens suit the Northwest light, and a two-tone kitchen with a darker island is a common way to add contrast. We bring samples and look at them in your own light before you commit.
Hardware is the cheap finishing touch. New pulls and soft-close hinges change how the cabinets feel every day, and we can install them as part of the job.

Painting changes the color and keeps your door style. Refacing changes the door style too (for example from raised panel to shaker). If you like the doors you have, paint. If you want a different look, reface.
A properly prepped, sprayed cabinet-grade finish holds up well to daily use. Chipping almost always traces to skipped prep or the wrong product. We use a bonding primer and a hard-wearing topcoat, and we back the work with a written warranty.
A typical single-family exterior runs roughly $4,500–$12,000 depending on size, siding, prep and wood repair. We quote it free, in writing.
Yes. Doors and drawer fronts come off to be sprayed, and the frames and boxes are sprayed in place so everything matches.
